Dressings with Safetac® technology

When making clinical decisions, it is common practice to consider the available data according to the type of studies from which they emanate. In the hierarchy of evidence, the randomised controlled trial (RCT), in addition to systematic reviews and meta-analyses of data obtained from RCTs, are generally considered to the be ‘gold standards’ for judging the merits of interventions.3 However, it has been suggested that, regarding wound care, all available evidence should be explored to answer clinical questions.4

In the operating room: Online learning opportunities

The pressures of the operating room and perioperative environment demand solutions and products that help OR professionals focus on the patient and the procedure at hand.

Patient safety and outcomes are number one concerns, but other challenges also factor in, including:

  • Antiseptics as part of infection control protocols
  • Gloves for patient and staff protection
  • Operating room solutions for improved workflows, OR efficiency and performance
